Problem solving for three obsolete French space heaters, each with two tiny (failed) 250 Watt elements – discussion revealed that lateral thinking is not dead! Two ‘U’ shaped elements could / maybe be replaced by a ‘W’ shaped item. This would require a little creative work on some refractory brick, using an angle grinder fitted with a small diameter (worn out) wheel. I was very pleased to receive this advice, based on years of experience, that would save hundreds of pounds – three new heaters complete would have been £750.
