Description

Our 0.3kW Oil immersion Heater features:

  • 10mm diameter Incoloy 800 elements, with huge great wide open spaces between elements for cleaning purposes
  • 2.25″ BSP Brass Screwplug
  • 6″ or 150mm inactive or cold end
  • 13″ or 330mm  immersed length
  • ABS IP65 terminal enclosure rotateable through 360 degrees
  • 1.1 w/cm² or 7 w/in² watt density
  • SERIES Single Phase
  • complete with 11″ thermowell.

If these stock heaters do not fit your needs, we can supply bespoke heaters to suit, usually within a 2 week timeframe. If youare really desperate, you can pay a premium, circa 50%ish,  to jump the queue and get them in a coupla days.

Basically, for oil heaters our target is to get the watts density down to 12w/in² or below for heavy, industrial oils, and 25w/in² or below for lighter cooking/thermal transfer oils.

So, this 0.3kW Oil Immersion Heater at 7w/in² is appropriate for any oils, even heavy industrial oils.

Plan B?

If other power ratings or immersed length are required, so alternatively we can sometimes do creative things with our Industrial Immersion Heaters for water, by reconfiguring from Delta to 4 Wire Star, or even putting elements in series, thus reducing the power output and watt density accordingly. If we put two elements in series, it reduces power/watt density by a factor of 4. Three elements in series reduces by a factor of 9. Thus, a 27kW Three Phase Water Heater could become a 3kW oil heater with a lovely low watt density. Likely to be low enough for even heavy oils.
