Problem solving for three obsolete French space heaters, each with two tiny (failed) 250 Watt elements – discussion revealed that lateral thinking is not dead! Two ‘U’ shaped elements could / maybe be replaced by a ‘W’ shaped item. This would require a little creative work on some refractory brick, using an angle grinder fitted with a small diameter (worn out) wheel. I was very pleased to receive this advice, based on years of experience, that would save hundreds of pounds – three new heaters complete would have been £750. Worst sales man ever, but absolutely top bloke.. told me exactly what i needed, where to get it from and how much it would cost.

We needed custom industrial heaters for a machine using exotic process fluid, Jamie was a pleasure to work with and beyond helpful in creating a spec we were happy with. Once we were ready to order, the units arrived very quickly, were made exactly to the agreed spec, and quoted cheaper than anybody else who could supply something similar. The heaters have worked perfectly since they were fitted and we have no complaints whatsoever, start to finish.

What impressed me most was his complete honesty. He admitted he was the “world’s worst salesman” because, even though he could have easily sold me a much more expensive item, he had the decency to advise me to look at an alternative. He even pointed me toward a different supplier where I could find a product that perfectly matched my needs for a significantly lower cost. Even if you don’t end up buying a product from him, you might have a witty amusing chat to brighten an otherwise dull day.

Finally we find someone who knows their cold ends and trombones from their watts per square inch. It’s an interesting journey full of homespun philosophy and self deprecation. Buying first class British made as opposed to far eastern compromise engineering helps ease the bank account strain but nothing helps the strain of exposure to that brummy accent. I think I may need a course of immersion (geddit?) therapy. Thank you, Jamie.

If you want any immersion heater that’s out of the ordinary, Jamie’s your man! I live off grid and heat water from excess PV energy. I used to use a 1kw element but wanted a heater module with three separate elements so I can switch between 1/2/3 kw depending on the sunshine. Jamie found me a unit off the shelf, and it works flawlessly. His knowledge of immersion Heaters is huge!

He is always patient with answering my questions and making sure I understand. He’s never pushed or rushed me into buying any product; preferring that I make my own informed decision. When he makes suggestions, they are practical and save me hassle and money. I’ve purchased several heating elements since December to replace or upgrade existing ones and I’m extremely pleased with them.

Opening our new brewery we had to convert from steam to electric, we have two vessels with different heating needs and Jamie was able to build us custom elements with a quick turn around. We were looking for both power, low watt density to avoid charring and ability to easily remove for cleaning and maintenance. They look good and work great!

We are very happy with the immersion elements we’ve purchased from you (2 18KW incoloy elements for use in a brewery setting). They get heavy use, and after 6 years on the one and 1 year on the other they both work as well as the day we installed them. The outer cover gets quite a bit of spray and we’ve never had any water intrusion. Combined with the service we received on ordering, and the price point, we really couldn’t be more happy.
