Fantastic service and advice from Jamie – what they don’t have they can get and get made, but the best thing is they can give you advice on your project and help you realise it. As a nano-brewery 10,000 miles away in Australia I can’t fault the service – our heater element delivered with packaging that would survive a missile strike. Jamie helped me with sizing calculations and now shipping micro-p controller with 48 hour turnaround. Finally pricing is very good – compared to Australian suppliers I have saved thousands. Finally we find someone who knows their cold ends and trombones from their watts per square inch. It’s an interesting journey full of homespun philosophy and self deprecation. Buying first class British made as opposed to far eastern compromise engineering helps ease the bank account strain but nothing helps the strain of exposure to that brummy accent. I think I may need a course of immersion (geddit?) therapy. Thank you, Jamie.

I contacted Jamie from Immersion Heaters UK intending to purchase one of his heaters. After a brief and pleasant chat, he explained that the products they sold were not best suited for my specific requirements.

What impressed me most was his complete honesty. He admitted he was the “world’s worst salesman” because, even though he could have easily sold me a much more expensive item, he had the decency to advise me to look at an alternative. He even pointed me toward a different supplier where I could find a product that perfectly matched my needs for a significantly lower cost. Even if you don’t end up buying a product from him, you might have a witty amusing chat to brighten an otherwise dull day.

We were designing a large (500 liter) boiler for a brewery and were shopping around for an appropriate heating element. We searched far and wide on the web (globally) for the equipment we needed. We wanted a fast brew and we have very hard water, plus the low pH of our liquid demanded the highest quality materials (all stainless or incaloy); we wanted very high quality at a good price, and we more than found that with the custom 18kw element we ordered from Immersion Heaters UK.

They have been EXTREMELY patient with me and have fabricated and delivered a working solution for my expensive Italian oven. The replacement element was delivered yesterday, and today my wife and I installed and turned on the unit, and it appears to be working well!!!

This was my first contact with this company and I was very impressed. Their knowledge was excellent and they were able to be flexible to satisfy my particular needs. They went out of their way to arrange a Saturday delivery which saved me from having 2 days without hot water in a milking parlour. I have to say that there are other similar units around which are slightly cheaper but the quality and ease of instalation of the IHUK units make them a winner in my book.

Opening our new brewery we had to convert from steam to electric, we have two vessels with different heating needs and Jamie was able to build us custom elements with a quick turn around. Fixing three obsolete French space heaters

Problem solving for three obsolete French space heaters, each with two tiny (failed) 250 Watt elements – discussion revealed that lateral thinking is not dead! Two ‘U’ shaped elements could / maybe be replaced by a ‘W’ shaped item. This would require a little creative work on some refractory brick, using an angle grinder fitted with a small diameter (worn out) wheel. I was very pleased to receive this advice, based on years of experience, that would save hundreds of pounds – three new heaters complete would have been £750.
